Dark knight rises T-shirt design

I designed a T-shirt for new batman film, the Dark knight rises competition. It had to have a dark, quite Gothic theme and only use four colours. I chose to use black,brown,grey and yellow as the contrasting colour. The dark colours represented the fall of Batman and destruction.

I used the three main characters-Batman, Bain and Catwoman. Bain as the main feature of the design, and towering over Batman, as Batman’s mask is broken and fading away with the use of bats and Catwoman bleeding towards the bottom of the design with the use of her whip. I used Gotham City as the background being destroyed in flames and the Batman light torn apart, summing up the story. The type “The Legends ends” in a white italic was fitted into the bottom corner portraying the end of Batman 

I used ink as my method of application and Adobe Illustrator.

Iv’e been taking photographs of my recent trips to Prague and backpacking in Thailand as well as some old photographs I had whilst at university of Sheffield, the peak district and also Eastcarlton park back home.
